ART-isotope - Galerie Schöber was founded in 2000 in the idyllic backyard of Dortmund's central ring road. In addition to painting and sculpture, the focus was on prints and drawings.
From the very beginning, the mixture of solo exhibitions, themed exhibitions and projects such as the park exhibition in the St. Johannes Hospital opposite has been a cornerstone of the gallery programme.
On the occasion of the vernissage of the exhibition SCHICHTWECHSEL with works by Sandra Hoitz and Gunnar Wolf, the two koto musicians and their instruments and the sound sequences they produced were met with pure enthusiasm.
Exhibitions such as COCOONING with works by Brigitte Dams and FACE TO FACE with paintings and objects by the Korean artist Ung-Pil Byen also took young up-and-coming artists into consideration - supplemented by international art competitions such as ARTor-Wand on the occasion of the anniversary of the ZDF sports studio.
Of course, a 10-year anniversary has to offer something special: The sculptures by Professor Felix Haspel travelled a long way from Vienna to create a wonderful harmony with the oil paintings by Bremen artist Gerd Lieder, which were inspired by the architecture of Frank O. Gehry.
The Chilli project at the opening of the art-fair Cologne - the first participation in a trade fair - provided some esprit. Another highlight was the participation in the media art fair in Essen with light installations by Constantin Jaxy. In the meantime, however, listed buildings such as the New Archive at Wertheim Castle also have their appeal.
... with well over 100 exhibitions can hardly be summarised. If your interest has been aroused and you would like to find out more, please take a look at Exhibitions and also our archive from 2000 to the present day.
